Age Requirements

Skill Level Classifications

For classes with age limits, a rider’s age is as of the date in which the series begins. and will determine his/her age for the Series.

However, a rider may move up to the next higher class if he/she will be eligible (birthday falls within the Series) to do so at any time during the series, but once a rider moves to the higher age class, he/she may not move back to the lower class.

Riders are encouraged to determine, at the beginning of the series, which age class they will participate in for the entire series.

A referee or clerk may request a rider’s proof of age.

Beginner: Rider must move up in class once he/she finishes 1st place 3 times or finishes in the top 3 in the series points. Rider may finish out the series he/she starts.

Novice: Rider must move up in class once he/she finishes 1st place 3 times or finishes in the top 3 in the series points. Rider may finish out the series he/she starts. (Solely under the discretion of head referee to whether there’s safety concerns with the rider moving to next class.)

Intermediate: Rider may move up in class at his/her discretion.

Professional: Must be 16 years of age or older. Must have competed in and surpassed the intermediate class ranking.
